The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger

It's not every day you get the opportunity to interview the son of a Beatle so we were extremely excited that Olivia got to spend a few minutes with Sean Lennon prior to his band's gig with Beck.

If you've never heard Sean's band, The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger, you're missing out on some great music - it's like The Beatles meets Tame Impala, a heavy dose of '60s psychedelic rock that should sound very familiar.

Sean was a great sport as we had to try a few different locations due to surrounding sounds that threatened to thwart the interview. Eventually we found what we hoped would be a usable spot near the tour busses parked behind the venue.

After the interview, as we traditionally do, we asked the artist to pose for a picture with Olivia and Sean was happy to do so. After we got the standard smiling shot, Sean said, "Now we should do one where we're really serious." Sean and Olivia posed and just a split second before the photo was taken, Olivia started cracking up, unable to maintain a serious face for very long. We took three or four pictures that all ended up with Olivia laughing before we finally got one where she's making a semi-serious face. Sean never budged, never started cracking up which makes these pictures that much funnier.

This would be cool if she actually interacted with him more instead of just going from question to question. I’ve interviewed Sean before and he will actually engage quite well if prompted.

What an adorable interview! Sean is a very kind and patient man and marvelous musician. Glad you got that opportunity. I’ve seen him perform twice and have met him twice in the last 7-8 years and I always go away with a positive feeling.
