Once again, we were turned onto an up-and-coming UK artist by our good friend Daron, the man behind The Hearing Aid blog. The band’s “nu folk” sound (as described by Daron) echoes that of their influences – Dylan, CSN, The Band, Neil Young and Simon & Garfunkel – and given the success of artists such as Mumford & Sons, it’s not a stretch to think that Goodnight Lenin could wiggle their way into people’s ears in 2013.
Connie: I was really scared about interviewing the drummer in Goodnight Lenin as Mr & Mrs Baron (Daron and Jo) made him out to be very scary. He was so nice! They were all so nice.
